It's all about the carbon

Check out this excellent cartoon describing carbon's role in climate change: It's all about the carbon, by Robert Krulwich (Radio Lab) and Odd Todd.   I like this cartoon so much because it emphasizes carbon chemistry to help explain climate change, which is the focus of much of my (R.M. Cory) past and current research. For example, one of my research objectives is to understand how the chemistry of naturally occurring organic carbon controls how and how fast it can be oxidized to CO2 by chemical and biological processes in the environment.
